     The documentation for this archive is located in DocMan.TXT, which
should be located in the same directory as this document.  This list of
bug fixes and changes made to DocMan is in chronological order; the new
information appears at the end of the document.

August 4th, 1995:  DocMan 1.2

* NAME CHANGE

A limited version of DocMan was previously releaed under a different name.
It was flawed in a number of ways, mainly due to testing on a limited number
of computers and configurations before release.  This application, which has
a new name and a new design, is meant to replace the previous version
completely.

* TESTING

While DocMan has been tested extensively before release, past experience has
shown that such testing is not always sufficient.  If you have any problems
installing or using DocMan, small or large, please send a message to
mforget@worldgate.com so that the problem can be resolved.  It is extremely
important that your feedback reach Electric Storm Software, as this product
cannot be improved without it.

* WINDOWS 95

DocMan, like a growing number of other Windows95 applications, can
automatically install/uninstall itself on demand.  DocMan also utilizes
the "look & feel" of Windows95 so that it will complement your system
nicely.

August 6th, 1995:  DocMan 1.3

A small bug which prevented documents from being manually added to the
document list has been fixed.

September 12, 1995:  DocMan 1.5

** IMPORTANT ** -- Before installing DocMan, you must end all tasks that
                   might be using the 3D control library; these tasks
                   include QuickCD, CD Player, and most other tray
                   applications.  To end a task, press Ctrl+Alt+Delete,
                   select the task to be ended, and click "End Task".

The "Setup" module has been the bane of my career; once again, problems have
been detected (and solved) with it.  To ensure more reliable performance,
the "Setup" module has been given enhanced error reporting abilities.  If
you experience trouble installing DocMan, you will now be told exactly what
the problem is and how to solve it.  In most situations, the way to solve
installation problems is to perform a manual installation.  The process for
performing a manual installation is explained in the PROBLEMS.TXT text file
in this folder.

* NEW FEATURES

1.  DocMan can now remove certain documents automatically.  To determine
    which documents are removed, select "Options..." and then type the names
    of the documents to be removed in the area provided using the following
    format:

    name.ext, name.ext, name.ext, name.ext

    You may use any valid wildcard sequence, such as:

    name.*, *.diz, file????.bat

    Once you have selected the names of the documents to be removed, DocMan
    will automatically remove those documents every time it is executed and
    once every five seconds while it is in use.

2.  To fully support the AutoRemove feature (outlined above) there is now
    support for a new command line option.  The new option (\AUTOREMOVE)
    is designed to be used from your "Startup" list.  To have DocMan use
    the AutoRemove feature every time you start your system, follow this
    procedure:

    1) Select the "Taskbar..." entry from the "Settings" folder of the
       "Start" button.

    2) Select the "Start Menu Programs" tab.

    3) Click "Add...".

    4) Click the 'Browse" button, then locate "DocMan.EXE".

    5) On the command line, after the filename, type a space followed by:

       AUTOREMOVE

    6) Click "Next".

    7) When asked which folder to place the new shortcut in, select
       "Startup".

    8) When asked to name the new shortcut, type "AutoRemove", then click
       "Finish".
                                                                
3.  DocMan can now "remember" the options you have chosen.  This bug affected
    a limited number of people (possibly none -- it was a strange one).  The
    symptom of the bug was that the options you selected would be recorded
    but not used.
